Strengths first
Most misunderstandings live in the room, not the person. We build for what people do well — stronger first 90 days on a job, less burnout from masking, smoother life transitions.
Sensory Bridges · An Innovation Co.
Brooks Band helps you understand yourself in the moment. Bridges helps the people around you understand you too.
General wellness. Not a diagnosis or a medical device.
“With the Brooks Band, we're not just helping people speak. We are helping them be heard.”

01 — How we think
Most misunderstandings live in the room, not the person. We build for what people do well — stronger first 90 days on a job, less burnout from masking, smoother life transitions.
Every new job, school, team or relationship asks neurodivergent people to start over explaining themselves. We build what happens after that front door opens, so what helps you travels with you from room to room.
Understanding runs both ways. The tools help the people around you learn how to be with you — not just help you cope. Paired Brooks Band users can share their How to Be With Me connection cards with each other, so managers and teams know how to support without guessing.
02 — The company
Sensory Bridges builds the Brooks Band and Bridges, the patent-pending connection platform underneath. One team, one mission.
“Nobody should be reduced to a 40-page file. We build tools that help people be understood on their own terms — especially when explaining what they need is difficult.”
Sensory Bridges, January 2025.
Built in the Southeast, for care that happens everywhere.
Bridges is patent pending.
03 — The Brooks Band
A wearable that uses your voice and body signals to help you understand yourself in the moment, and learns you over time against your own data, never anyone else's.

The person owns what the band produces. Not us, not a hospital, not an insurer.
04 — The founder
I'm a mom. I'm also neurodivergent, which means I spent a long time being the person in the room who couldn't explain what was wrong in a way anyone could use.
Brooks Band started at my kitchen table, with a user who couldn't explain what was hurting and a mother who could see it anyway. I built the thing I couldn't find — a way to show how a day actually went, in words the people around you can act on.
Everything since — the studies, the filings, the pilots — came out of that. I'm still the one answering the email.

06 — How it works
A gentle private cue on the wrist, compared only to your own data — never anyone else's.
You decide what is shared, with whom and for how long. Nothing is shared unless you say so.
Pair with someone you trust — a teammate, manager, partner or therapist — and you both see what helped.
Brooks Band runs on Bridges, our patent-pending connection platform.
07 — Connection cards
Your How to Be With Me card is your own short guide to what helps you, written in your words. Make a connection card for each room in your life: family, friends, a partner, your doctor or therapist, your manager, a teammate or a cofounder. Share it with a quick scan, like trading contact cards. You choose who sees it and for how long. They try what helps, send a quick note back on how it landed, and your card gets better over time.
08 — Who it's for
Our first focus: adults entering and growing in the workforce. Your baseline, your words, your call on who sees what.
Managers and teams who know how to support without guessing — stronger first 90 days, less burnout from masking.
Explore context and recovery patterns between sessions alongside professional observations — a starting point for discussing what may help.
Words for what you already sense, and a way to hand it to the next person.
Coming in spring: private cues and personalized 'How to Support Me' information, designed to support student dignity and communication.
